Charlotte, N.C. or Remote (EST Time zone) Tower Engineering Professionals is seeking a full-time Estimator . As an Estimator, you will serve as an integral member of our Design Build team. Tower Engineering Professionals offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental insurance, paid vacation and holidays, 401k with company match, and a relaxed, fun environment. Responsibilities Compute cost by analyzing labor, material, equipment and time requirements Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents Comprehend construction drawings including electrical diagrams related to EV, solar, and telecommunications Maintain a comprehensive list of suppliers and subcontractors Review plans for consistency and accuracy and resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information including field data Present prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends Perform conceptual, schematic, and design development budgets Collaborate with others on the preconstruction team to successfully bid jobs and make adjustments as needed Prepare subcontractor bid packages Solicit and maintain communication with subcontractors and vendors Additional duties as assigned Qualifications 8-10 years of estimating or commercial construction management experience Electrical experience preferred Industrial Construction experience required Proficient in GSuite and Windows based software SiteTracker or estimating software required Ability to approach challenges with a problem solving and analytical approach Strong written and verbal communication skills Team oriented; flexible; reliable; professional; enjoys new challenges Willingness to develop relationships with subcontractors, clients, and internal personnel 15-30% travel to perform bid walks as needed Work Environment This job operates in a professional office and field environment.
