Previous experience bidding work in a similar field will be considered as we do have a full time estimator that is willing to work on getting a qualified applicant up to speed. Estimator Responsibilities Read and understand construction project plans and specifications Ensures appropriate equipment orders are placed once the sale is closed. Email submittals upon request Communicate with contractors to confirm project timeline and specifications Perform quantity take-offs, organize information and calculate price Track status of bids in progress and follow-up on submitted bids Estimator Qualifications Minimum 2 years’ experience in construction-related estimating Working knowledge of doors, frames and associated hardware Critical thinker with strong organizational and time management skills Ability to read plans and create a hardware schedule based off of plans Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with Emullion and/or Quickbooks online software a plus Able to work in a fast paced environment
