The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in construction management software, and the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and subcontractors. Duties Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Utilize takeoff programs for efficient project management and estimating processes. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project budgets and timelines. Conduct site visits to assess conditions, gather data, and ensure that estimates reflect actual site requirements. Monitor ongoing projects for cost control, identifying any discrepancies between estimated costs and actual expenditures. Prepare reports on estimated versus actual costs to inform future project planning. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential. Familiarity with construction management practices and principles. Proficiency in using estimating software. Strong understanding of construction site operations and requirements. Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong analytical skills with a commitment to accuracy in all work outputs.
