Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in estimating or accounting, with a strong interest in construction and the roofing industry. In this role, you will assist in preparing accurate project bids, analyzing project specifications, and supporting the estimating team to ensure competitive and profitable proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in reviewing project documents, plans, and specifications to develop detailed estimates.
• Gather and analyze data related to materials, labor, and equipment costs.
• Support senior estimators in preparing bid proposals and cost summaries.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and ensure accuracy of measurements.
• Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain pricing and availability.
• Maintain organized records of all estimating data and correspondence.
• Assist in analyzing project risks and opportunities to optimize bids.
• Support the team during project close-out and post-bid evaluations.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in estimating, accounting, or a related field within construction or the roofing industry.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards is a plus.
