Empowering. Joining our Supply Chain team means you are the backbone behind managing the proposed material costs for multiple proposals and programs that keep nations safe. BAE Systems is seeking a Cost Analyst with exceptional analytic and communication skills to join the Operations Proposal team. In this job, you will: Develop and prepare Cost Analysis, Commercial Item Determination (CID) and Competitive Analysis on supplier provided data. Provide material support documentation and price analysis in support of proposal submissions to U.S. Department of Defense customers. Decompose supplier provided proposal and Cost or Pricing Data into constituent estimating elements for analysis and determination of price reasonableness. Perform indirect rate analysis and direct labor cost analysis to determine reasonableness of supplier cost burdens applied to direct elements and develop detailed rebuttal position. Develop walk-down positions by cost element in order to establish summary conclusions and recommendations regarding supplier pricing and provide basis for negotiations. Conduct market research and price analysis to confirm the commerciality of a proposed part. Participate in Continuous Improvement projects as needed that enhances the current proposal and Cost/Price analysis process.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills Required Education:

Bachelor Degree preferably in a business, financial or accounting discipline. Required Skills Be able to prioritize and self-manage a multitasked workload in a fast paced environment Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written. Includes writing reports of significant complexity and length. Utilize analytical and computer skills and various software packages (Excel, Word) to prepare appropriate reports and documents. Attention to detail. Support the analysis, evaluation, development and implementation process and system improvements within budget while adhering to strict time requirements and schedule. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experience in proposal preparation with a working knowledge of Project Finance, Contracts or Subcontract Administration with a working knowledge of Cost & Price Analysis for Department of Defense procurements. A working understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) with an emphasis on

FAR/DFAR

compliant proposals. Familiarity with Cost Accounting Standards, Contract Cost Principles and Procedures, and Accounting and Proposal preparation procedures.

Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range:

$55295 – $94001 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
