Our ideal candidate will have multiple years of estimating interior demolition, saw cutting, and floor grinding in the commercial industry. We are looking for an outgoing, self motivated individual with strong critical thinking skills that can negotiate contracts, manage job costs, and competitively bid in the industry. We currently have a large overflow of bids the candidate could begin on immediately for reputable GC’s in New England. Bonus for individuals that have a strong customer base already. •Pay•We are offering a commission / profit sharing based pay where the estimator will make a percentage of each project’s profit. There is NO CAP for the commission. This system is designed for confident estimator’s that know their worth in the industry. Commission based pay will allow for candidates to work from home in the future if they choose. We are willing to entertain salary pay at the expense of commissions/profit sharing and the candidate will not be allowed to work from home. Experienced candidates with strong industry reputations will greatly benefit from our commission/profit sharing pay style because you will make what you put into the company. Duties Lead the estimating department in preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for construction projects. Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create detailed estimates and manage pricing information. Collaborate with project management teams to develop comprehensive project plans that align with client expectations. Conduct thorough reviews of construction documents to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards. Monitor ongoing projects for cost control, ensuring adherence to budgets throughout the construction process. Provide mentorship and training to junior estimators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and techniques that can impact estimating practices. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction site operations. Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is preferred. Demonstrated ability in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring of construction projects. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successfully managing contracts with various stakeholders. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate pricing assessments. Ability to build effective relationships across teams and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
