The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing technical drawings, determining material and labor costs, and preparing competitive quotes for machining projects. This role requires strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and cost estimation techniques to ensure accurate and profitable project bids.

Key Responsibilities:

Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to assess project requirements. Estimate material, labor, tooling, and overhead costs for machining projects. Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to develop accurate cost estimates. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Source and evaluate materials, suppliers, and subcontractor pricing. Prepare and submit detailed proposals and quotations to clients. Analyze past projects to refine and improve cost estimation processes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of machine technologies and industry trends. Assist in project planning to ensure feasibility and profitability. Communicate with customers regarding project scope, pricing, and lead times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience as a Machining Estimator or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CNC machining, fabrication, and material properties. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and GD&T. Experience with cost estimation software and ERP systems is mandatory. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Experience:
