Chief Estimator Position Available In Middlesex, New Jersey

Insight Global is currently hiring a Chief Estimator to join a large engineering client in Piscataway, NJ. This position will be a 6 month contract-to-hire and will require working fully onsite M-F with some hybrid flexibility here and there. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience working within the construction industry as an Estimator on project sizes ranging from 100-300 million. This individual will be responsible for carrying meetings, working directly with architects and owners, pricing up projects and handling value engineering aspects for the estimations.

Responsibilities:

Understands estimating terminology and measures and recognizes processes/project actions that may impact the project. Assists the Project Manager in presenting, trouble-shooting and improving estimates. Assists in preparing budgets and performance plans. Oversees the preparation of crew build-ups and production rate determinations. Evaluates suitability of scope and execution plan for basis of estimate. Reviews Estimate Plans (approach, techniques, level of effort, cost, schedule), Basis of Estimates and qualifications. Reviews bid tabulations responding to the customer/Request for Proposal requirements. Reconciles current project estimate comparisons with previous performance and market benchmark data. Negotiates internal issues, priorities, and deadlines.

Required Skills:
