Steel Estimator Overview:

As a SteelEstimator , you will play a pivotal role in estimating andpreparing bids for a variety of commercial construction projects.

Your responsibilities will include evaluating projectspecifications, generating accurate cost estimates, and helping tosecure contracts. You will also have the opportunity to contributeto sales efforts by building strong relationships with clients,contractors, and project stakeholders. This role offers growthpotential for those who demonstrate strong project managementskills and a desire to manage projects from start to finish. Idealcandidates will have a background in structural and miscellaneoussteel, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced,collaborative environment.

Steel Estimator Key Responsibilities:

Estimating & Bidding:

Prepare accurate steel estimates forcommercial construction projects, including schools, officebuildings, and warehouses. Analyze project drawings,specifications, and other documents to determine scope andmaterials.

Sales & Client Interaction:

Collaborate with clients,architects, and general contractors to understand project needs andprovide competitive bids. Maintain relationships and follow up onproject opportunities.

Cost Analysis & Budgeting:

Review projectrequirements and costs, and ensure all estimates are within budget.

Advise on material choices and alternative solutions to meet bothdesign and budgetary constraints.

Project Coordination:

Workclosely with the project management and fabrication teams to ensuretimely delivery of materials and efficient project execution.

Growth & Advancement:

Opportunity to take on more responsibility,including managing projects from start to finish(“cradle-to-grave”), and leading teams through the design,fabrication, and installation phases.

Steel EstimatorQualifications:

Experience:

3 years of experience in steelestimating, with a focus on structural and miscellaneous steel forcommercial projects.

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of commercialconstruction processes, structural steel design, and industrystandards. Familiarity with estimating software is a plus.

Skills:

Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability tomultitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

SalesAcumen:
