Candidate should have high end residential and light commercial experience. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating and buying out high end residential renovation and light commercial projects. Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, analytical, negotiation, management, and multi-tasking skills. Blueprint interpretation, spreadsheet, estimating and project management software knowledge is also important. Candidate should possess excellent technical knowledge of construction and various trades. Having contacts, resources & relationships is an additional plus. Purchasing experience beneficial. Should know how to level a bid.

Responsibilities include:

Performing drawing take-offs and estimating material quantities. Reviewing blueprints raising/resolving questions/issues/concerns regarding the projects, scopes, and identifying special requirements during the bid process. Initiating and managing RFI’s and RFP’s related to bid process. Developing a complete understanding of the projects. Participate in bid walk-throughs and sales calls. Coordinating and compiling sub-contractor bid packages. Estimating project costs and assembling final bid packages and proposals. Providing ongoing support to project management team as required throughout the course of the project, including project hand off, responding to questions, providing back up information, selecting and negotiating with vendors for purchasing, assembling specs, and preparing material submittals for architect review.
