West Mifflin, PA 15122 One of my clients , a growing electrical contracting firm specializing in commercial, industrial and specialty electrical projects. We are seeking an Electrical Estimator at the South Hills Office to drive our bidding process from initial review through proposal delivery. In this role, you’ll analyze blueprints and specifications to develop comprehensive cost breakdowns; covering all materials, equipment and labor to refine and present competitive, accurate estimates. Key Responsibilities:

Review project plans, blueprints, specifications to understand project scope and requirements. Perform takeoffs to quantify materials, labor and equipment needed for electrical installations. Collaborate with project managers, engineers and clients to clarify scope and align the estimate with the project vision. Prepares and presents detailed bid proposals to clients, ensuring alignment with project specifications and customer expectations. Conducts kickoff meetings with the project manager and foreman upon job award. Will take the lead on implementing a new estimator software platform. Evaluate quotes from vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing. Identify potential cost risks, including site conditions, code compliance issues and schedule constraints. Maintain up-to-date knowledge on industry trends, labor rates, material costs and local codes/standards. Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions as needed. Track and analyze historical data to improve future estimating accuracy. Assist in negotiating contracts and change orders when required. This is a non-union position. Qualifications 2-3 years minimum in electrical estimating or similar role within the electrical contracting industry. Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Familiarity with NEC and local building codes is a must. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints; focused on accuracy and precision in all work. Understanding of construction project timelines. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working independently. Able to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Familiarity with BIM or CAD software a plus! Relevant certifications (CPE, LEED, etc.) a plus! This full-time, in-office role is Monday through Friday (not remote) and includes travel to project sites and client meetings. Compensation Range is 75k-100k Competitive salary based on experience.
