The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. The Project Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to negotiate prices and develop comprehensive estimates that reflect the scope of work. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Utilize software tools for efficient estimating processes. Collaborate with project managers to assess project requirements and develop budgets. Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best deals for materials and services. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Conduct site visits to gather information on construction site conditions and requirements. Provide support in contract negotiations and manage changes in project scope effectively. Experience Proven experience in construction/ Electrical estimating or a related field is essential. Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices. Proficiency in using estimating software is preferred. Familiarity with cost control measures and techniques in the construction industry. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with contractors and suppliers. Knowledge of construction site operations and safety protocols is an advantage. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all estimations.
