Job Description

Electrical Estimator and Project Manager New London Electric Inc West Grove, PA 19390 Founded in 1994, New London Electric, Inc. is the leading electrical contractor in Chester County, Northern Delaware and Northern Maryland. Family owned and operated; the New London Electric team is looking for the right individuals to join the team.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Estimating:

Perform and support all commercial and residential electrical estimating functions – development of project material lists, obtain subcontractor prices, estimate all engineering, and field hours, develop project scope documents. Continue to innovate and create improved methods of estimating to enhance speed and accuracy. Research new products specific to projects, or to improve current offerings. Maintain as needed sales tracking information related to projects in development in the company CRM – project names, contacts, estimated cost and sell, etc. Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain price quotes. Read and interpret project plans and specifications in order to perform complete and accurate take-offs. Manage RFI process during pre-bid cycle. Attend pre-bid meetings, perform site surveys to develop project list and scope. Provide assistance/support on bid day, including bid delivery, and supporting the communication process with contractors we are bidding to. Estimate new and existing customer projects and change orders, including material take-offs, subcontractor pricing, all engineering and labor estimates, and work with management to determine margin and final pricing. Meet and supervise job kick-offs, including review project scope, plans and specifications, design/build documents, field notes, or other materials pertinent to system design and construction.

Project Management:

Assist in developing project’s budget and schedule. Manage and adhere to the established budget and schedule. Prepare and submit change orders and addenda to contracts for out-of-scope work. Monitor project progress and status and repot any issues to manager. Participate in selecting the project team. Coordinate with team members to ensure tasks are completed on time. Assist in developing project’s budget and schedule. Manage and adhere to the established budget and schedule. Maintain project documentation and track project metrics. Manage and coordinate the project team’s workflow and resources. Prepare and present project reports and proposals to clients and stakeholders. Serve in a marketing role for the company with an emphasis on business development. Complete the project billing process on time and accurately.

Required Skills & Experience:

Minium of 4 years of commercial and residential electrical estimating. Minium of 10 years of consecutive electric Project Management responsibilities. Expert knowledge of NEC codes. Master Electrician license preferred but not required. Technical proficiency with all hardware and software products utilized for Building Automation Systems projects. Excellent communication with customers. Communicating clearly and fully engaging to make them comfortable, understand and ensure satisfaction. Advanced knowledge of Excel, including higher level data management functions. Advanced knowledge of Excel, including higher level data management functions. Ability to work as a team member. Lifting and moving objects weighing up to 40 lbs. Punctual, being on time. It is imperative we are prompt and on time to all scheduled customer appointments. Valid driver’s license with no moving violations in the last 24 months. Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
