Project Estimator/Manager (Residential/Commercial) 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 1315 Lawrence Rd, Havertown, PA 19083
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and/or assist in accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project conditions and identify potential challenges or opportunities.
- Analyze and interpret project plans and specifically read and understand job bid instructions and detailed specifications.
- Prepare a “take-off” of materials and quantities included in the job.
- Determine specific job requirements and the necessary equipment and labor.
- Prepare a bid proposal letter .
- Collaborate with field workers, project managers, architects, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and maintain project costs throughout the construction process.
- Keep up with any cost or scope changes during projects. Prepare and manage for close out of assigned projects
- Maintain and update estimating databases with historical cost records.
- Continuously improve and advance our internal Estimating/PM software processes and incorporate new industry technologies.
Qualifications:
For the Estimator/PM an ideal candidate should possess 4+ years of experience in the electrical field (residential/commercial) Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and local industry standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents. Ability to assemble scope of work with all required information, including inclusions, exclusions, and qualifications. Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate with all involved parties. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in Google Workplace (Docs, Gmail). Proficient in Stack, or similar takeoff/document management software.
