The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparingaccurate, full-scope cost estimates across all constructiondivisions, with a particular emphasis on projects in the lifesciences sector -including labs, clean rooms, R D spaces, andbiotech facilities. The ideal candidate has broad technicalknowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to supportfast-paced, high-stakes estimating efforts. Client Details We are awell-established and growing Montgomery County, PA-based generalcontractor specializing in commercial, multifamily, and lifescience construction projects across the Greater Philadelphiaregion. Known for delivering complex projects with precision andprofessionalism, we are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-orientedConstruction Estimator with experience in life science facilityconstruction to join our pre-construction team. Description Preparedetailed and conceptual estimates for ground-up and interiorfit-out projects across commercial, multifamily, and life sciencesectors. Perform take-offs and pricing across all scopes of work(site, structural, architectural, MEP, finishes, and specialty labsystems). Solicit bids from subcontractors and vendors; performscope reviews and ensure bid coverage. Support budgeting and valueengineering efforts throughout the design and pre-constructionphases. Maintain accurate historical cost data, unit pricing, andestimating templates. Collaborate with project managers, designers,and engineers to ensure constructibility and cost-efficiency. Trackmarket trends and pricing, especially as they relate tolab-specific materials and systems (HVAC, controls, specialtygases, clean room finishes, etc.). Profile Bachelor’s degree inConstruction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or arelated field (required) . 3-7 years of estimating experience witha general contractor; strong background in life science orhealthcare projects (required) . Deep understanding of MEP systemsand technical scopes common in lab and research facilityconstruction. Proficiency in estimating and project managementsoftware (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, Excel, Sage). Ability to read andinterpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings andspecifications. Strong communication and organizational skills witha collaborative mindset.
