Construction Estimator T. Mac Builders Bangor, PA 18013 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are accounted for. This role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of construction management, and the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and subcontractors. Duties Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including materials, labor, and overhead. Utilize software tools to create comprehensive bids. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information regarding project specifications and requirements. Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data for estimating purposes. Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Monitor project budgets and costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to financial targets. Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve competitive bids. Maintain accurate records of estimates, contracts, and changes in project scope. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential. Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices. Familiarity with cost control processes and methods. Proficient in using estimating software. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in reviewing plans and specifications. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
