Warwick, RI 02889 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of commercial electrical construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring effective project management. This position requires a strong understanding of construction processes, and scheduling. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and overhead. Conduct thorough analysis of project specifications and drawings to determine accurate pricing. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop budgets and timelines. Utilize software tools such as McCormick estimating software and project management tasks. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget constraints. Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid proposals and presenting estimates to clients. Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects. Skills Strong knowledge of electrical construction estimating principles and practices. Proficiency in cost control methods and techniques. Familiarity with electrical systems and components is a plus. Experience in project management within the construction industry. Ability to negotiate effectively with contractors and suppliers. Competence in using estimating software. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate pricing assessments. Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
