Job Description
Job Opportunity:
Estimator for Custom Home Builder
Experience:
5-10 years required
Spanish speaking is a plus
Responsibilities:
Taking plans
Doing take-offs
Finding trades
Preparing contracts for trades
Interacting with the owner and CFO
Bidding out projects
Organizing projects
Handling trade contracts
Managing budgets and estimating
Dealing with clients
Sitting in on design meetings and change orders
Education:
Degree strongly preferred, as it indicates initiative and goal-setting- NOT
REQUIRED
Attire:
Business casual
Software:
No specific experience required, but proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Timberline, etc. is preferred
The firm uses spreadsheets extensively
Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with the SC market is essential
Company:
Custom home builder
Custom homes range from $1.5-6M
Renovation homes can range from $100k-2M
Smaller firm with roughly 6 employees
