POSITION SUMMARY:
The Service Estimator is responsible for evaluating, estimating, and preparing proposals for HVAC service repairs, retrofits, and replacement projects. This role works closely with Service Technicians, Account Managers, and Operations to deliver accurate, timely, and competitive quotes that meet customer needs and support company profitability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Review technician recommendations, service reports, and field assessments to develop accurate service repair estimates. Conduct site visits when necessary to validate scope and gather additional project details. Prepare detailed estimates, proposals, and scopes of work for HVAC service work, ensuring accuracy in labor, material, and subcontractor pricing. Collaborate with Service Managers, Field Service Leaders, and Account Managers to prioritize and strategize bid opportunities. Ensure proposals are aligned with customer needs, operational capacity, and margin goals. Maintain and update pricing databases, vendor quotes, and estimating templates. Follow up on outstanding proposals and support closing efforts with the customer support and sales teams. Maintain knowledge of HVAC systems, industry trends, codes, and technologies. Support budgeting and planning efforts for key service accounts and programs. Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC service estimating, project coordination, or technical sales. Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, components, and service processes. Proficient in reading specifications and interpreting technical documentation. Familiarity with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. High school diploma or GED required; technical training or degree in HVAC preferred.

SCHEDULE
