Provide the leadership, guidance, training, controls and monitoring for preconstruction and estimating team to consistently perform pursuit, preconstruction, estimating, and procurement activities.
Effectively prepare and communicate in proper written form competitive job estimates by interpreting drawings bid documents performing take-offs for labor equipment and materials.
Supervise overall construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design budget and schedule.
Adjust budgets approve bills ensure subcontractor payments are made conduct site visits
Determine training needs for roofing crews; organize and direct needed training in safety quality and customer satisfaction
Review and analyze budget reports and prepare and develop budget modifications and recommendations
Document project discrepancy between budget and actual
Willing to learn and teach best practices for roofing installation by fully participating in on-the-job training as well as periodic manufacturer training
Ensure crews are adhering to OSHA and company safety regulations
What You Need for this Position
8+ years experience operations and/or estimating with a commercial roofing contractor
Experience with Edge Estimating Software a plus Knowledge of various commercial roof system installation and products Ability to identify correct and report unsafe conditions according to company and OSHA standards
Knowledge to inspect and ensure attention to detail and quality
Build and develop productive working relationships with other department managers and management personnel
Able to understand complex problems and make decisions to benefit everyone as much as possible For this position you must be currently authorized to work in the United States. We do not sponsor for this position. Preferred Skills
