Construction Estimator Hospitality Building Services Charleston, SC Hospitality Building Services is seeking an Estimator in Charleston, SC! The right candidate’s primary responsibility will be to estimate the work of construction projects by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. We are growing fast and are looking for enthusiastic attitudes and team players to join our success. Essential responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned.

Duties Include:

Ability to prepare estimates and proposals for commercial and hospitality work encompassing the entirety of the scope per the project specifications and drawings Ability to facilitate detailed project turnover meetings to the the project management team upon work being awarded Explore documentation in order to gain a deep understanding of the project requirements Visit construction sites to provide an estimate as needed Prepare relevant and reliable forecasts Conduct risk analysis activities Create and present reports to upper management Analyze and evaluate bids from vendors for accuracy and scope Build and maintain long-term relationships with key vendors Prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts to present to upper management Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers and subcontractors Follow up with vendors, as needed, to ensure full coverage on every project bid Analyze labor, material and time requirements for a project Work with upper management to prepare proposals Qualifications 2 years of experience working as an estimator Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to put together a professional presentation Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral form Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) Ability to perform detailed takeoffs for all scopes in Plan Swift, Construct Connect or equivalent Ability to bid multiple projects concurrently Work effectively in high pressure situations Ability to create reports on costing data Ability to work well on a team Knowledge and understanding of technical drawings and requirements
