The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects. This role involves analyzing project specifications, blueprints, and other documents to determine costs and resources required, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on time. Key Responsibilities
Review project plans and specifications to identify the scope of work and materials needed.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment based on project requirements.
Utilize estimation software such as Sage Timberline, Exactimate, and On-Screen Takeoff to compile and analyze data.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines.
Conduct market research to evaluate the cost of labor, materials, and rental or leased equipment.
Prepare and present estimates to clients and stakeholders, addressing any questions or concerns.
Update and maintain estimating databases and historical cost data for future reference.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry.
Proficiency in estimating software such as Sage Timberline, Exactimate, and On-Screen Takeoff.
Strong understanding of labor costs and the ability to perform labor estimates.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
