We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. This position requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Pay :

80k-85k per year DOE Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for estimates. Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather relevant data for accurate pricing. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing. Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Provide support in cost control measures and assist in identifying potential savings opportunities. Review drawing revisions and project updates to assist Operations Team in pricing changes Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to each project. Update and maintain preconstruction reporting. Other duties as needed Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential. 2 year degree minimum/4 year degree preferred 4+ years of estimating or 5 years of project management experience Experience with estimating and takeoff software Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices. Proficiency in using estimating software, particularly Bluebeam, is preferred. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex blueprints and specifications. Strong negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable contract terms. Familiarity with project management processes and cost control techniques. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
