Job Description
Estimator CBG, Inc 500 Frontage Road, Gaston, SC 29053 Local Site Preparation/Grading/Utility Contractor seeking an Estimator. Identify material requirements required to perform work from civil plans. Quantify take offs and complete estimate preparation for piping, concrete and earthwork and compile in a spreadsheet.
Job Duties:
1. List all jobs and verify the owner, engineers, and description of work. Report this information daily to the manager. 2. Research all trade publications, bulletins, newspapers, etc. for possible leads to provide additional workload. 3. Handle all call-in quote requests for pricing to include but not limited to: Client Appointments Site Visits Field measurements & verification 4. Keep written records of all jobs estimated. Analyze regularly, post bid information, and maintain a data base of results.
Requirements:
Valid photo driver’s license Education required HS diploma Preferred college level business or construction course work Ability to communicate well, both verbally and written
