Mission Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking an individual for the position of Sales Representative based out of Columbia, SC. Main Responsibilities Develop and service relationships with key decision makers and supporting employees of customer base.
Develop and service the major influencers of the products and services we offer.
Research and cultivate new business through: Newspaper/Periodicals

  • Daily
    Dodge Reports
  • Daily
    Industry Contacts
    Various websites
  • Weekly State Department of Transportation (DOT)
    Cities / New construction permits at City Engineers office
    Counties
    Builders Exchange
    Other Support our Communications Department with ideas, materials, and contacts to get our messages out to the customer base and influencers.

Input quotes and convert orders while mobile in relative systems Prepare and complete weekly commitments to build our business in volume and pricing
Engage the market to learn intelligence about: New entrants
Changes with existing competitors
Market segment(s), size, technology trends, Economy data
Customer preferences
Product innovation, promotion, specifications Acquire and continue building a strong working knowledge of the materials and services we provide
Professionally represent the company and region with Chamber of Commerce(s), Industry Organizations, community schools, and area non-profits
Work with Sales Leadership and co-workers across the region to ensure communication is paramount regarding customer crossover
Initiate meetings with Sales and Operations leaders to understand input costs to determine external sales price within your strategic plan
Communicate monthly prices to customers through jobsite, office and/or other customer facing opportunities
Additional Responsibilities Prepare submittals and contracts as needed
Follow-up weekly on quotes and bid results
Review monthly accounts receivable report and notify or collect accordingly
Assemble and communicate with Accounting and Operations team members a monthly sales forecast
Participate with Leadership in the preparation of Bi-annual Market & Budget reports
Coordination/Scheduling of product and delivery (working closely with Superintendent, Plant Operators, Logistics and Quality Control Technicians)
Skills Requested 2+ years of sales experience, construction industry preferred Able to collaborate within a team and bring a positive and optimistic attitude every day Determination to accept change and have a willingness to take initiative to learn daily Acknowledge rejection as an opportunity to learn and develop new methods and strategies Entrepreneurial spirit that allows a disciplined and structured approach to your day Perform professional duties with safety, accountability, and integrity as a priority Embrace the use of mobile technology and relative software systems(Quote to Order
