Job Description
Estimator Assistant/Field Layout Assistant/ trainee Sam C Franklin & Son, Inc. Maryville, TN 37804 compensation: DOE employment type: full-time Work includes:
- Perform thorough document reviews, including geotechnical reports, phase I & II reports, drawings, specifications, etc.
- Layout and tracking of installations including the use of survey and GPS tracking equipment
- Working with cad systems, and identifying as-built conditions
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, including cut/fill, utilities, hardscapes, pavement, etc.
- Develop project specific scopes of work
- Additional duties as assigned Required experience:
- Trained in field: 2 years Minimum
- Knowledgeable in commercial site construction
- Ability to read plans, perform material takeoffs and estimates
- Field GPS layout
- CAD-based Earthwork takeoff programs and TOPCON equipment
