Job Description:

Civil Construction Estimator The Estimator calculatespreliminary job budgets and prepares formal job bids throughinterpreting blueprints, performing take-offs and estimating jobcosts. The Estimator interfaces with clients and theirrepresentatives to ensure that technical specifications and designsare feasible and consistent with industry standards.

AREAS OFRESPONSIBILITIES

Estimators are responsible for developingaccurate and complete job estimates. The Estimator identifiesproject labor, material, and time requirements by studyingproposals, blueprints, written specifications and relateddocuments. Conducts site visits and attend pre-bid meetings tounderstand the project scope. Conducts review and take-off ofblueprints. Solicits bids from subcontractors. Gatherssubcontractor pricing and conducts scope review. Evaluatesubcontractor bids to bid documents and plans to ensure that thefull scope of work was considered. Calculates costs of subcontractlabor, general conditions, and materials. Collaborates with theclient to help them achieve their project cost budget throughconsideration of plan details, alternate material/finishes andbuilding methods.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a working knowledgeof commercial construction documentation and pricing; able to readplans and specifications and translate them into estimates. BS/BAin Construction Management, Engineering or a related field and 5years of construction estimating experience Experience with RFIs,Change orders, is highly preferred Experience with Bluebeam,On-screen Takeoff, Timberline or other estimating software a plusCivil Construction Experience Preferred Apply now for the next stepin your Estimator Career!
