Join the home for entrepreneurs! The Estimator will support the Bid Management Team in developing customer proposals by managing bids, leading pricing efforts, and coordinating proposal timelines. This role will collaborate closely with Engineering, Electrical Estimating, Proposal Management, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely, and competitive bids. In addition, this person will be responsible for analyzing supplier proposals, identifying cost factors, and collaborating with suppliers to negotiate best-value agreements. This role involves compiling detailed reports and using software for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting. Your role in our team You will collaborate with Applications Engineers, Estimators, and Proposal Managers throughout the entire bid cycle. Develop pricing from inputs received from engineering, Proposal Managers, sub suppliers, and customer specifications Host internal and external meetings to review bid status, pricing updates, and project timelines Complete and organize customer-required pricing documentation and proposal content You will identify and quantify cost factors such as production time, materials, and labor expenses Support proposal creation for both product and integration bids, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness Assist procurement with subcontractor RFQ packages and technical pricing questions Maintain clear, organized documentation for bids ranging from $100K to $450M You will work closely with leadership during bid and project handoff phases, contributing to strategy and delivery planning Support multiple active bids simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Your profile You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience You bring at least 2 years of experience in cost estimating, technical proposals, or a similar role Proficient in Data Analysis software, Microsoft Office, and have working knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks You possess excellent, negotiation, organizational, and communication skills Highly analytical with a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in pricing and documentation Customer-first mindset and a proactive approach to solving problems Comfortable working cross-functionally and juggling multiple priorities at once You are available to travel up to 25% as needed for customer or team collaboration Eligible applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
