POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for Estimating stock plans, and some Purchasing functions for Single Family Residential, including material take offs, defining scopes, updating quote sheets, vendor liaison, vendor search, supplierproduct options, updating standards as-needed, etc. Elmington is comprised of multiple locations and lines of business that are operated as their own living, breathing corporation. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Understanding of best practice residential construction methods and standards Residential Estimating, Job Budget review and analysis Monitorapprove field issued variances, reasons, types, etc. Assist Trouble-shooting reoccurring material concerns to correct future projects Assist with Subcontractor negotiations, as required throughout each community Strive to create and maintain good relationships with subcontractors and vendors Maintain good records for quotes, scopes of work, product requirements, etc. Reconcile material invoices as required, supporting PurchasingAP Assist managing site related costs/equipment to report weekly Adjust and approve all Measurement PO’s once invoices are received PrepareSubmit RFQ’s and Scopes of Work for bid solicitation on new product Update standard estimates as needed, when plans are adjusted, or created Work closely with plan development to help with R D for new product Field audits for material shipments, usage, subcontractor concerns, etc. Manage Change Order adjustments as-needed within estimates Assemble general conditions estimates for review by manager
SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE
College Degree preffered but not required 3 +/- years experience as Residential Estimator preffered
