Skills/Qualifications 5 years minimum of experience in the Metal Fabrication Industry Associates degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience and training Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Strong skills in drawing interpretation, knowledge of steel fabrication Strong skills in creating material take-offs, preparing quotes, obtaining pricing Effective problem solving and math skills Team player and able to work with others Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Tekla EPM experience a plus Familiarity with structural steel shapes, common material specifications, carbon steel, stainless steel Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks Responsibilities Review RFQs from Customers Review and clearly understand customer scope, specifications, and required quality standards indicated by the RFQ Generate take-offs, bill of materials, and create quotes & estimates Compile quotations from material suppliers to establish pricing Effectively estimate labor required for fabrication/processing of steel Defining project scope and objectives, establishing milestones, timelines, and allocating resources Coordinate with internal Team members to obtain material pricing for estimates and awarded Jobs and determine project lead times for material or services Obtain prices and lead times from sub-contract vendors (as applicable) Make sure pricing/lead times agree with the project schedule for fabrication/due date Submit quotations to customers in response to RFQ’s Benefits Weekly pay Annual Bonus Program 401(k) retirement plan (after meeting eligibility requirements) Life Insurance (after meeting eligibility requirements) Medical, dental, and vision coverage, (after meeting eligibility requirements) Vacation and Holiday Pay (after meeting eligibility requirements)
