Project Manager and Estimator Whaley Asset Management LLC 122 East Washington Street, Paris, TN 38242 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with a proven ability to analyze project specifications, prepare accurate cost estimates, and negotiate contracts effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring that our projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality. Responsibilities Analyze project plans and specifications to develop comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects. Utilize HeavyBid and Bluebeam software to create detailed estimates and manage project documentation. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope, timelines, and budgets. Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for accurate estimating, including assessing site conditions and identifying potential challenges. Implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to monitor expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Prepare and present detailed proposals to clients, including pricing breakdowns and justifications for costs. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms for the company. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and techniques to enhance estimating accuracy. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies. Familiarity with HeavyBid software is preferred; experience with Bluebeam is also advantageous. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in pricing and cost control measures. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Previous experience working on construction sites is a plus, providing practical insights into project execution challenges. A background in project management is beneficial for coordinating efforts across various teams.
