Estimator – Structural Steel
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Structural Steel Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience estimating the cost of structural steel fabrication and erection projects. This role requires a strong understanding of steel construction processes, materials, and cost analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for structural steel fabrication and erection projects.
Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine material quantities, labor, and equipment requirements.
Evaluate subcontractor quotes, vendor pricing, and material costs.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to identify project scope and potential cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare bid proposals and cost breakdowns for review and submission.
Maintain accurate records of estimates, change orders, and project scope adjustments.
Assist with project scheduling and budgeting during pre-construction phases.
Ensure all work is estimated and executed according to applicable safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in structural steel estimating (fabrication and erection).
Strong knowledge of AISC standards is preferred
Ability to read and interpret structural steel drawings and blueprints.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation.
