Full Job Description Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager & Estimator to join our commercial glass company. This role is responsible for estimating project costs, preparing bids, and overseeing project execution from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in commercial glass installations, project management, and cost estimation, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimating & Bidding:

Review architectural plans, specifications, and bid invitations to prepare accurate cost estimates. Determine material, labor, and equipment costs for commercial glass projects. Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing. Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals within deadlines. Collaborate with clients, general contractors, and architects to clarify project scope and requirements. Track and follow up on submitted bids, negotiating pricing and contract terms as needed.

Project Management:

Plan and oversee commercial glass projects from bid acceptance to completion. Develop project schedules, coordinate deliveries, and manage installation teams. Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget while meeting quality and safety standards. Conduct job site visits to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions. Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and permits. Maintain strong communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Customer & Stakeholder Relations:

Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Build and maintain relationships with contractors, architects, and suppliers to encourage repeat business. Address and resolve client concerns professionally and efficiently.

Financial & Documentation Management:

Monitor project costs, ensuring profitability and cost-control measures. Approve invoices and ensure timely payments from clients. Maintain accurate records of all project-related documentation.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in commercial glass project management and estimating. Strong understanding of glass products, curtain walls, storefronts, windows, and glazing systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications. Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in estimating software, Microsoft Office, and project management tools. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred). Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
