Job Description

Estimator 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars 2525 Horizon Lake Drive, Memphis, TN 38133 Job Description PCI is seeking an experienced Estimator for its PCI Memphis 142 operations based in Memphis, TN. This individual will be responsible for the following duties: Performing quantitative takeoffs on construction projects Establish labor productivity for estimate Maintain positive relationships with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricing Solicit subcontractor pricing for work done outside of our self-perform group Understand the market conditions, including the competitive approach, backlog, level or risk of work, and other factors that affect margin percentages Be involved in the internal bid reviews with supervisors and the project team Participate in the customer alignment objectives of the branch by creating and maintaining positive customer relations Contract administration for secured projects Prepare wage and benefit schedules Assist in the hand-off of secured projects to the Operations Team Assist in other duties such as change order management or billings depending on the project(s) Basic Requirements At least 3 years of estimating construction projects Experience with estimating drywall and acoustical ceiling scopes of construction Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships Excellent communication and customer service skills High level of attention to detail and cost analysis Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work Proficiency with computer takeoff & estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Quickbid Preferred Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science or Construction Management OSHA Certification Local to metro Memphis, TN area is preferred This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
