This position involves performing a range of floor care tasks to ensure that all areas are clean, safe, and presentable for staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality cleaning services. Duties Perform routine floor care tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness. Execute specialized floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing various types of flooring. Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate techniques and equipment to ensure carpets are well-maintained. Inspect floors regularly for damage or wear and report any issues to management. Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition. Adhere to safety protocols while performing cleaning duties to ensure a safe environment for all. Collaborate with other custodial staff to ensure comprehensive cleaning coverage throughout the facility. Skills Experience in commercial cleaning and custodial services is preferred. Proficient in floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning. Knowledge of environmental services practices to promote sustainability in cleaning processes. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas needing improvement or additional care. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills to interact with team members and management effectively.
