The ideal candidate will have experience in various flooring types and possess a strong understanding of installation techniques. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team on residential and commercial projects. Duties Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas accurately. Install various types of flooring, including hardwood, laminate, tile, and carpet. Prepare surfaces for installation by cleaning, leveling, and ensuring proper subfloor conditions. Perform trim carpentry and fixture installation as needed to complete flooring projects. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure seamless project execution. Conduct remodeling tasks that may involve drywall work, concrete finishing, or construction painting as required. Apply caulking and finishing touches to ensure a polished final product. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and adhere to safety protocols on job sites. Skills Proven experience as a Flooring Installer or similar role in the construction industry. Strong skills in carpentry, maintenance person tasks, and general construction practices. Familiarity with trim carpentry techniques and fixture installation processes. Knowledge of drywall installation and finishing methods is a plus. Ability to perform concrete finishing work when necessary. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. A valid driver’s license is preferred for travel between job sites.
