Strip and Wax Service This is an overnight service. A Strip removes all finish to the bare tile and FOUR coats of finish are applied. The number of nights required to complete the service is based on the store’s square footage. Service Contractor will optimize communication to

TJ Maxx Store Managers:

⦁ Service Contractor will call the store location 3-7 days before their wet work to confirm appointment. ⦁ Service Contractor will reconfirm service within 48 hours and notify the location of any cancelation by 4pm the day of service. ⦁ Service needs to be scheduled

weeks ahead of time. ⦁ Reschedules kept at a minimum. Strip and Wax ⦁ Techs must arrive on time. ⦁ Service Contractor will work with the Store Manager to ensure that the HVAC and lighting are scheduled to be on during the cleaning. . If they are not, notify the Eco Energy team immediately at 844-457-7338. ⦁ Service to include Sales Floor, Classrooms, Break Rooms, and Offices. ⦁ Service Techs will be locked in but will have a Store Managers number to call once work is complete. ⦁ Place wet floor caution signs around area to be serviced. ⦁ Dust mop the floor thoroughly. ⦁ Remove all gum and stickers with a putty knife. ⦁ Prepare stripping solution: Simoniz Grip Strip or comparable product, dilution ratio 1:4 Warm Water (adjust dilution ratio as needed) ⦁ Spray all baseboards, edges and corners with an aerosol stripper and let soak for 10 minutes. Scrape softened debris with a putty knife. ⦁ Apply stripping solution- Allow 10 to 15 minutes to dwell and emulsify floor finish before agitating. ⦁ Make sure stripper does not dry, Keep Wet! ⦁ Strip with black High-Pro pad and 175 RPM machine or propane stripper back and forth several times before moving to the next area. Do not let stripper solution dry. ⦁ Use Wet Vac to pick up stripping solution and slurry, then rinse two times with clean water. Change water between rinses. ⦁ Allow to dry. Floor should have a dry, dull, flat appearance. Repeat above steps until all areas are complete. ⦁ Clean all edge work, corner detail & door transitions with the Doodlebug. ⦁ Apply FOUR (4) coats of Simoniz Grip Coat or comparable product finish using a rayon mop and allow drying between coats. ⦁ Service Contractor to bring in fans to aide in drying process.
