YourRole at AcoustiThe Acoustical Ceiling Installer is responsible forinstalling ceiling grid and tile systems on commercial andgovernment projects. This role requires experience with ceilinglayout, grid installation, blueprint interpretation, and hands-onconstruction. The Installer plays a key role in ensuring precision,quality, and safety in all phases of ceiling installation.
In thisposition, you will contribute to our success by completingassignments independently and collaboratively, maintaining projectschedules, and delivering craftsmanship that meets Acousti’sstandards.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will: Read and interpret project blueprints and constructiondrawings Inspect drywall partitions, mechanical mountings, and masonrysurfaces for level and plumb using lasers or water levels Install support wires for ceiling grid systems Hang dry lines to wall molding for guiding main runnerplacement Nail or screw molding to walls and seal joints Scribe and cut tile edges to fit walls when molding is notused Measure and mark surfaces to lay out ceiling work Install acoustical ceiling main runners and cross runners Cut tiles for fixtures and borders using hand tools (e.g.,keyhole saw) Work on scaffolding, aerial lifts, ladders, and stilts Operate powder actuated tools and lasers Perform duties in indoor and outdoor job sites Work independently and as part of a team Maintain construction schedules and meet phased deadlines Perform additional tasks as assigned by the managerWhat We’reLooking for in YouTo succeed in this role, you should have: 4 to 5 years of acoustical ceiling installation experience(required) In-depth knowledge of materials, tools, layouts, andinstallation methods Ability to read blueprints and follow projectspecifications Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Tools and reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand/walk for up to 8hours per day Ability to pass a drug test
