Hardwood Flooring Installer Twin Builders and Development Lindenhurst, NY 11757 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing various types of flooring, including hardwood, laminate, tile, and carpet. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices and the ability to read blueprints to ensure precise installations. The Flooring Installer will work on construction sites, collaborating with other tradespeople to deliver high-quality results for our clients. Duties Install a variety of flooring materials according to specifications and industry standards. Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to determine layout and installation requirements. Prepare surfaces for flooring installation by performing tasks such as buffing, water damage restoration, and drywall repair. Execute trim carpentry work as needed to ensure a professional finish. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installations. Collaborate with other team members on construction sites to maintain workflow and project timelines. Ensure job sites are clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions or concerns during the installation process. Qualifications Proven experience as a Flooring Installer or in a related maintenance person or construction role. Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding construction site practices. Familiarity with various flooring materials and installation techniques. Experience in trim carpentry, drywall repair, buffing, and fixture installation is highly desirable. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to flooring installation. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
