Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a variety of flooring types and materials, including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, and carpet. You will be responsible for preparing surfaces, installing flooring to precise specifications, and delivering high-quality finishes on every project.
Key Responsibilities:
Measure and cut flooring materials to fit designated spaces Prepare work surfaces by removing existing flooring, cleaning, and leveling Install various types of flooring (e.g., hardwood, laminate, tile, vinyl, carpet) Use adhesives, nails, or staples to secure flooring Ensure proper alignment, spacing, and finishing details Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently Follow project plans, specifications, and safety guidelines Communicate with clients and team members professionally Maintain cleanliness of job sites during and after installations
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) 2+ years of flooring installation experience Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and installing flooring materials Familiarity with tools and techniques specific to flooring installation Must be able to pass a background check Must have a valid, up-to-date photo ID Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills:
Certification or training in flooring installation Experience with moisture testing and subfloor preparation Customer service skills and job-site professionalism
