Director of Window Treatments Job Summary:
The unique department is growing with the need for a talented and experienced Window Treatments Installer who has a strong background in installing Blinds, Shades & Draperies at high-end residential projects. The position is in-office located in North Miami with 90% local area travel to customer job-sites.
Responsibilities:
Delivery of window treatment products to Customer jobsite. Project coordination with Acoustic Architects Project Managers, sub-contractors and other construction trades for efficient and timely window treatment products installation. Physical installation of window treatment products consisting of motorized Blinds, Shades, Draperies and Accessories. Project coordination with Acoustic Architects Programmers for efficient and timely integration of motorized window treatments into control systems. Daily reporting and work order installation progress documentation. Customer demonstration of keypad and/or iPad operation of installed window treatments. Perform window treatment repairs and adjustments as needed.
Job Requirements:
Experience in the finishing of the construction phase.
Attention to detail:
Strong ability to work with precision, ensuring clean lines, smooth surfaces and accurate measurements in all finishing tasks. Proficiency with Tools and Equipment. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings relating to Window Treatment ceiling plans, cross sections, elevations and dimensions. Experience in basic electrical or control wiring. Basic computer skills for data entry on work order task viewing and reporting. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to professionally interact with customers in their home. Strong problem-solving, analytical, attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics. Extremely disciplined and self-motivated and able to work effectively alone and in a team environment. Window Treatments or other Trade Certification is a plus. Required to provide and maintain own tools.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this role, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, talk and hear- possibly for prolonged periods at a time and safely use a ladder The team member frequently is required to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The team member is occasionally required to climb or balance; and occasionally to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 lbs in heavy boxes etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
