Experience Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Glazier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting, installing, replacing, and removing all types of glass, mirrors, and related materials in buildings and other structures. This role requires precision, safety awareness, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will also need to be able to wok in a office setting in order to read plans, get prices from a vendors and provide bids to our General Contractors. We need someone who is familiar with Osha regulations and enforce safety to other employees. Lastly someone who doesn’t have any issues with communications. Whether its answer phone calls, speaking with other employees or general contactors.
Key Responsibilities:
Measure and mark glass for cutting. Cut, fit, install, and replace glass in commercial, or industrial buildings. Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine type and thickness of glass, frame, installation procedures, and materials required. Able to get quotes from our vendors for materials needed, like storefront, doors, door hardware, and glass. Remove broken or old glass and prepare surfaces for new installations. Install mirrors, glass partitions, doors, windows, storefronts, and other glass elements. Use tools such as glass cutters, suction cups, grinders, and glazing knives safely and efficiently. Apply weather seal and caulking to ensure a proper seal around the glass. Handle and transport glass safely to avoid breakage and injury. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Have your standard Glazier tools
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a glazier or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Skilled in using hand and power tools related to the trade. Good hand-eye coordination and physical strength. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
