Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Glass Cutter to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have experience cutting glass to specific dimensions and shapes, ensuring accuracy and quality in every cut. You will be working with large sheets of glass, including sizes up to 48″ x 96″, and will play an essential role in our mirror fabrication process.

Key Responsibilities:

Measure and cut glass to precise dimensions using hand tools and specialized cutting equipment. Follow work orders and blueprints to ensure correct sizing and shapes for framed mirrors. Handle glass safely and efficiently, ensuring minimal waste and avoiding damage. Inspect glass for quality, identifying any defects or issues before cutting. Maintain and calibrate glass-cutting tools and equipment for optimal performance. Assist in loading and unloading glass sheets, ensuring safe handling. Collaborate with the assembly team to ensure timely delivery of cut glass for framing. Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Glass Cutter, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements. Comfortable working with large sheets of glass, including oversized mirrors. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to lift heavy glass sheets and work in a physically demanding role. Knowledge of safety procedures for handling glass. Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with framed mirror or glass furniture manufacturing. Familiarity with automated glass cutting machinery. Forklift certification or experience handling heavy materials is a plus.
