Lead Glazier Fuller Glass Company, Inc. 518 W 67th St, Shreveport, LA 71106 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Glazier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in glass installation and possess a strong attention to detail. As a Glazier, you will be responsible for cutting, installing, repairing, and replacing glass in various structures, ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of projects while overseeing and teaching your helper/apprentice. Responsibilities Install and replace glass in windows, doors, and other structures according to specifications. Measure and cut glass to fit specific dimensions and requirements. Apply caulking and sealants to ensure airtight and watertight installations. Collaborate with carpenters and other trades to build frames or supports for glass installations. Conduct repairs on existing glass installations, including replacing broken or damaged glass. Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to understand project specifications. Hang doors as part of the overall installation process when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Teach and manage your helper/apprentice. Skills Proficiency in glass installation techniques and practices. Experience with caulking and sealing methods for optimal performance. Knowledge of carpentry skills related to building frames or supports for glass installations. Familiarity with trim carpentry to ensure polished finishes around installed glass. Strong maintenance person skills for general repairs and maintenance tasks. Competence in construction painting related to finishing touches on installations. Capability to read schematics effectively for precise execution of projects. Experience in door hanging techniques as part of the installation process is a plus.
