The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of various types of windows in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. The Window Installer will ensure that all installations meet quality standards and adhere to safety regulations. Duties Install windows according to specifications and schematics, ensuring proper alignment and sealing. Perform glass installation, including cutting and fitting glass panels as needed. Execute trim carpentry tasks related to window installations, ensuring a polished finish. Conduct cabinet installation as required during window projects. Apply caulking to seal windows against air and water infiltration. Fabricate window frames and other components as necessary for custom installations. Install fixtures associated with windows, such as locks and screens. Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure timely project completion. Assist in construction estimating by providing input on materials needed for window projects. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experience: Proficiency in reading schematics related to window installation. Experience in glass installation techniques. Familiarity with trim carpentry and cabinet installation practices. Knowledge of caulking methods for effective sealing. Ability to fabricate components as needed for custom projects. Experience with fixture installation relevant to windows. Prior experience working on construction sites is preferred. Understanding of drywall work may be beneficial for integrating window installations into existing structures.
