We are currently seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Estimator Trainee.
Position Overview:
As an Estimator Trainee, you will receive comprehensive training in Delray Beach, FL under the guidance of experienced professionals. This role is designed for someone eager to learn all aspects of mechanical insulation estimating, including blueprint reading, takeoffs, proposal preparation, and project management support. Upon successful completion of the training program, you will be expected to relocate to either the West Florida region or the Gainesville area.
Key Responsibilities:
Learn to review construction drawings and specifications for mechanical insulation projects Assist with quantity takeoffs and material/labor cost calculations Prepare and submit project proposals and bids Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and clients Support ongoing projects with data entry, documentation, and communication
Qualifications:
Strong math skills and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email communication Outgoing personable personality Ability to visualize and understand construction plans (3D spatial skills a plus) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Dependable, conscientious, and able to focus on detailed work Willingness to learn and accept feedback Field experience or construction knowledge a plus, but not required Willingness and ability to relocate to West Florida or Gainesville area after training Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
