$23-$25/hr (based upon experience)

HOURS:

Expected shifts will be 8 hour days starting at 7AM

Foamglass Insulator Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Safely handle, transport, and store foam glass insulation materials. Measure and cut foam glass blocks, pipe coverings, and other forms to specified dimensions using appropriate tools. Prepare surfaces for insulation application by cleaning and ensuring they are free of debris. Apply foam glass insulation to pipes, vessels, tanks, and equipment using adhesives, mastics, and mechanical fasteners (e.g., banding, wire). Ensure proper fit and securement of insulation to prevent gaps and thermal bridging. Install insulation around complex shapes and fittings, including elbows, tees, valves, and flanges. Apply appropriate sealants and coatings to ensure a continuous vapor barrier and protect the insulation from environmental factors. Install jacketing materials (e.g., aluminum, stainless steel) over the foam glass insulation, ensuring proper overlap and securement. Qualifications for

Foamglass Insulator:

• Proven experience, 4+ years as a commercial or industrial insulator
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings
• Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and fitting insulation materials accurately.
• Must be able to safely use hand/power tools and PPE
• Must be able to perform job duties that require standing, crouching, twisting upper body, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Position requires the use of PPE, including: Steel-Toe work boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves.
