Job Responsibilities:
Roles and Responsibilities:
Perform all necessary repairs on damaged shipping or in house product containers. Perform TPM on all shipping racks or containers. The rack technician is responsible for repairing steel racks/bins/knockdown plastic containers to bring them to good workable condition. This could involve, welding all types of steel and fabrication of simple tools, simple jigs and fixtures that will allow checking racks quickly.
Essential Functions:
Welds on all types of steel. Welding – Mig & Arc, cutting torch. Hand tools – grinders, drill press and hand drill. Assist in fabrication of simple tools, jigs and fixtures. Must be able to work from blue prints or sketches. Responsible to support preventative maintenance for racks. Position Requirements Proficient in Mig & Arc welding Kamtek certified forklift operator Technical procedures/blue prints.
Education/Trainng:
High School Diploma or GED required. Experience in welding (Mig & ARC), drilling, grinding (preferred) Kamtek forklift certification required Experience in basic machining such as milling, turning, cutting and fabricating
Experience:
5-10 years experience in Automotive, or industrial manufacturing.
