1+ years construction iron work experience preferred, but not required Comfortable working from heights Ability to travel as needed Able to work 40+ hours a week Must be at least 18 years of age High School Diploma or GED preferred Dependable transportation to and from work No felonies that are violent in nature and/or theft related in the last 7 years Comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements

Essential Functions:

Unload and stack fabricated steel so that it can be lifted with slings. Knowledgeable about lifting and rigging from crane signaling to taglines. Able to perform rivet busting at ground level. Able to connect steel with bolts. The construction laborer performs tasks involving physical labor at industrial type construction sites, railroad and power plant projects. Knowledge and ability to use a variety of hand and power tools May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris, and remove waste materials. Must be physically healthy to stand, bend and walk for up to 10-12 hours per day

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at constructions job sites. The noise level in the site can be loud. This position is preformed outside weather conditions.
