The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge and experience in fabricating, assembling, and welding components for ship construction and repair. As an Aluminum Shipfitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity and functionality of marine vessels. Duties Assemble and fit metal parts and structures for ships according to specifications. Fabricate components using various tools and equipment, ensuring precision and quality. Perform welding tasks to join metal parts securely Must be able to read blue prints Collaborate with other technicians and team members to ensure efficient workflow. Must be able to work 6-10’s – 60 hours per week New Construction Qualifications 3 years’ of proven experience in shipfitting or a related field is preferred. 7-year background is required and drug test Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency in welding techniques and fabrication processes. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. $30.00 per hour (PerDiem is offered if you are 100 miles from Mobile, with utility bill) $1000.00 Sign on bonus or Hotel provided $3000.00 per week on 60 hours worked Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, and PTO time offered.
